HUBUNGAN SHIFT JAGA DENGAN TINGKAT DEPRESI PADA DOKTER MUDA DI RSUD ABDUL WAHAB SJAHRANIE SAMARINDA

Abstract

Clinical students have more stressor than medical students. It has been predicted that clinical students are more vulnerable to suffer depression. Most of the clinical students have a low quality of life and sleep because of their schedules and activities. Over continuous working or excessive schedule has a bad impact for health, and it can develop some diseases or disorders. This study was conducted to determine an association between clinical students’ working shift with depression in RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda. This study used analytic observational with cross – sectional approach. Samples were clinical students in RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda. This study was done in July 2019 to August 2019, with a questioner filled by clinical students as primary datas sources. Data were analyzed by Likelihood Ratio test with IBM SPSS Statistic. From 68 clinical students in this study, 70,59% (n = 48) had depression, and the most excessive schedule was shift twice in a week shifts 69,12% (n = 47). This result showed there was no association between clinical students’ working shift with depression in RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda (p = 0,384).
