Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) is a chronic disease that is not directly transmissible from a person to another. Non-communicable disease is the number one cause of death in all over the world, where the top four of it are cardiovascular diseases, cancer, respiratory diseases, and diabetes. Indonesia has done some efforts to prevent and control non-communicable diseases through the integrated development for non-communicable diseases such as: do an early detection and observe some factors of non-communicable diseases and do the follow up action which are oriented towards regular, integrated and periodic basis promotive and preventive efforts. This research aimed to know the influencing factors of the utilization of the integrated development post for non-communicable diseases of Mulawarman University. This research was conducted using observational analytic research with cross-sectional design. The data was obtained from questionnaire interview and secondary data from monitoring book of participants. The sample of this research were the participants of the integrated development post which were registered in 2018 based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, in which 91 samples were obtained. The observable variable in this research was the utilization of integrated development post, jobs, knowledges, distance to the post, family support and the role of the integrated development cadres. The result showed that there is a correlation between the utilization of integrated development post and jobs (p=0.028), there is a correlation between the utilization of integrated development post with knowledges  (p=0.005), there is a  correlation between the utilization of integrated development post with the distance to the post (p=0.035) Meanwhile, there is no correlation between the utilization of integrated development post with family support (p = 0.092) and there is no correlation between the utilization of integrated development post with the role of the post cadres (p = 0.171).
