SYSTEMATIC REVIEW TENTANG PENGARUH OBESITAS TERHADAP KEJADIAN KOMPLIKASI DIABETES MELITUS TIPE DUA

Abstract

Obesity is a global health problem whose numbers continue to increase from yearmto year. Obesity is an independent risk factor for dyslipidemia, hypertension,hyperglycemia which results in complications and causes of death for someone suffering from diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a
group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, as well as insulin action even both. Diabetes Mellitus is one of today's global health threats. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is an endocrine hormone disorder characterized by decreased insulin sensitivity and insulin secretion and accounts for 90% of total diabete mellitus events. This systematic review aims to evaluate the influence of obesity on the incidence of complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This systematic review was carried out by searching for studies on PubMed, NCBI, Clinical Key, Google Scholar, Science Direct, or the National Library, and the studies observed were studies published in 2015-2020 in Indonesian and English. The results of the study search were obtained as many as 12,911 studies and 30 studies that met the study inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on the systematic review evaluation was drawn conclusions, it was found that 25 studies (83%) indicates that there is an influence of obesity on the incidence of complications of type two diabetes mellitus
