HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN DENGAN PENYESUAIAN DIRI PADA MAHASISWA BARU KEDOKTERAN UNMUL SAAT PEMBELAJARAN ONLINE
Abstract
Anxiety is a necessary response, but if this level of anxiety is severe it will interfere with life both in quality and quantity. The total number of people living with anxiety in the world is 264 million. Medical students have high levels of anxiety. In students, anxiety usually arises in the first year, it is assumed that students are experiencing a change in their environment so they have to adapt to a new environment in order to make adjustments. The Ministry of Education and Culture through the Government has banned universities from carrying out face-to-face (conventional) lectures and ordered to hold lectures or an online learning system. Adjustment is important as a process that involves mental and behavioral responses. This study was to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and self-adjustment in new medical students during online learning. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional method. Respondents of this study were new students of Mulawarman University of Medicine using purposive sampling technique. Statistical analysis using the Spearman-Rho test obtained p = 0.005 (p <0.05).There is a relationship between the level of anxiety and self-adjustment in new medical students when learning online
