Abstract

One of the most usual primary headache is Tension-Type Headache (TTH), and one of the cause is related to musculoskeletal problems in the neck. Previous researches have found that neck pain frequently accurred with TTH. The purpose of this study was to discover the correlation between neck pain and TTH in students of Faculty of Medicine Mulawarman University. This Research is an analytic observational study, and the design used is cross-sectional. Purposive sampling is a technique used in sampling. A hundred and eight students of Faculty of Medicine Mulawarman Univesity class 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 were selected as respondents and samples. The data were primary data, collected using questionnaires. Fisher’s Exact test is a statistical test analysis used in this study. The research showed that respondents who experienced neck pain were 75.9% and TTH were 17,6% so that the p score of 0.774. The result of the study concluded that neck pain was no correlation with TTH in students of Faculty of Medicine Mulawarman University.
