KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN COVID-19 PADA ANAK DI RSUD AJI MUHAMMAD PARIKESIT TENGGARONG TAHUN 2020

Abstract

 ABSTRACT

COVID-19 first reported in China at the end of 2019 and caused world emergency. Indonesia is one of the countries that has been exposed COVID-19 and has spread to all regions incluiding Kutai Kartanegara Regency. COVID-19 infects all age group including children. In general, clinical manifestations in COVID-19 in children is mildly, but there are still differences found of characteristics COVID-19 in pediatric patients. This study aims to determine the characteristic of COVID-19 patiens in children at RSUD Aji Muhammad Parikesit Tenggarong in 2020. This study was a descriptive study. The study sample was taken using purposive sampling and there were 139 pediatric patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 from the medical records of RSUD Aji Muhammad Parikesit Tenggarong. The results showed that the most confirmed positive patiens for COVID-19 were in the age group 10-<18 years (54%) with female gender (53,2%). The clinical criteria for asymptomatic were the most common criteria found in pediatric COVID-19 who were treated and isolated at the RSUD Aji Muhammad Parikesit Tenggarong in 2020.
