HUBUNGAN HIPERTENSI DAN DIABETES MELITUS PADA PASIEN FRAKTUR TULANG PANJANG LANSIA TERHADAP LAMA RAWAT INAP PASCA BEDAH DI RSUD ABDUL WAHAB SJAHRANIE SAMARINDA
Abstract
The elderly are at risk for fractures with a high prevalence. A fracture is a break in the continuity of normal bone tissue. Geriatric patients have a higher risk of fracture. Complications that often occur in geriatric patients in cases of fractures are the addition of postoperative care. The elderly also have a risk of suffering from diabetes melitus and hypertension. Elderly fracture patients with comorbid hypertension may experience prolonged postoperative hospitalization due to postoperative complications and longer surgical wound healing. The purpose of this study was to determine Hipertension and Diabetes Melitus with length of stay in elderly fracture patients at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital, Samarinda. This study is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling method in this study is purposive sampling and obtained as many as 98 samples that include in research criteria. Based on the chi square test, there was a significant relationship between comorbid diseases and the length of stay of elderly long bone fracture patients at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda with a p-value of 0.000.
