HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN KANKER SERVIKS PADA MAHASISWI PROGRAM STUDI KEDOKTERAN FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS MULAWARMAN
Abstract
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common malignancy in the world in women. Primary prevention by implementing cervical cancer prevention behavior is the first step to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer. Some factors that may influence this behavior are knowledge and attitude. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude with cervical cancer prevention behavior in students of the Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Mulawarman University. Analytical observation with a cross-sectional approach was conducted on 140 female students selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done online using a questionnare. Bivariate data was analized by using Chi-square statistical test This study showed a significant relationship between knowledge and cervical cancer prevention behavior (p=<0.001), and no significant relationship between attitude and cervical cancer prevention behavior (p=0.836). Therefore, cervical cancer prevention behavior had a positive correlation with knowledge of cervical cancer in the medical study program students of Faculty of Medicine, Mulawarman University
